The exact timetable for the tournament is a work in progress and is dependent in part upon how quickly each round is completed, whether a mini-round is required at the start of the Knockout Stage (see the Format page), and whether the GM's real-life commitments may slow down the turnaround time between rounds. But here is the projected tournament schedule:

• Preliminary Round 1: May 5 to May 23 [finished]
• Preliminary Round 2: May 26 to June 13 [finished]
• Preliminary Round 3: June 14 to July 4 [finished]
• Preliminary Round 4: July 4 to August 1 [finished]
• Preliminary Round 5: August 1 to August 29 [finished]
• Knockout Stage (Mini-Round): August 29 to September 12 [finished]
• Knockout Stage (Quarterfinals): September 13 to October 11
• Knockout Stage (part three): TBC
• Knockout Final: TBC

The goal will be to finish the tournament no later than the end of the year.
